When I bought my '07 GT, my DD/tow vehicle at that time was a '00 Toyota 4Runner SR5. It's now an '08 4Runner Sport. But prior to the '00 T4R and the Stang, I owned probably 8-10 cars.

Sold a '94 Ford Probe GT when I got my Stang. It was a fun car to drive, and it cornered like it was on rails.

Mine was a much loved 02 Thunderbird. Yellow with a white hard top. One of 80 ever produced like it. The birth of our little critter, and my stable of two seaters (and the fact that the T-Bird was still being paid for) meant it was the one to go. The Mustang is a stick, which they unfortunately never made the T-bird in, so the fun to drive factor went up immediately, and now I can carry 4 people, but if the opportunity ever presents itself in the future to pick up another T-Bird, and that factored in with the fact that I'll be even older and probably finally ready to drive at times without the stick, I'll get another one. That car was SO pretty. The Mustang does handle better though, even without an IRS, but I've got two miatas which are just on another playing field in that regard.

My car ownership goes liek this newest to oldest -> 10 GT, 05 GT vert, Nissan Murano (wifes car, we shared), Pontiac montana van (two kids in car seats, it sucked), 94 thunberbird with a 302, nissan sentra, ford escort zx2 ( loved autocrossing that thing), 87 lx 5.0, 68 C code coupe mustang, first car was a 74 triumph spitfire that lasted 2 months, then burned in an electrical fire and i scored possibly the world's ugliest car - a VW rabbit pickup.

My first car was a 1996 Grand Am GT. I had that thing so modded out, I was really bummed when I sold it, I'm still kinda bummed I got rid of it but it was worth it cause if I didn't sell the grand am then I wouldn't have been able to get my mustang : )

Agreed. I miss some of my old cars, but the mustang is the best car I've ever owned, no question about it.
