Fuel Gauge in tank, anyone else having problems
I replaced my fuel level transmitters in the tank (there are two I am told) of my 2005 Mustang in April of 2009 and now have my gauge in the dash reading full / pegged. So, a year and a half later it appears to me I am going to be replacing them again. Anyone else having this problem? What replacements work the best?

I had an issue recently where the gauge would never read below 3/4-7/8 tank. Sometimes with low fuel and turns it would momentarily read correctly but then would go back. I filled up and dumped a can of fuel system cleaner (Seafoam) in the tank and let it sit overnight, but that didn't help. All of a sudden one day it just started working again. You might try the fuel system cleaner a few times and then give it some time to see if it starts working again.

There are operating characteristics of the fuel system that are known to result in incorrect fuel gauge operation. I'm at work and don't have access to the manula but it has been posted over and over.
I'm sure 157db will provide the link when he sees this thread. That may be the reason behind your problem. If so, it's not a hardware issue.

If you have access to a MSD DashHawk, the fuel level can
be seen there as a % full parameter and that can be a good
diagnostic tool as to bad sender or guage...
