Default Are there exhaust and intake systems that are street legal in CA?

I have a 2011 GT, and I live in one of the most **** states when it comes to emissions (CA). Are there any systems that are street legal here?

Sure. Any one you want. Just remove them when you go for your first smog check (in four years), or when you visit the dealership (CAI... they don't seem to care about the exhaust).

If you ever get pulled over for something, and an officer wants you to open the hood, tell him no. That is your right.

All the FRPP parts are 50 state legal. As for others call the people that supply the tunes and ask them, it's all about the tune not the parts.

I just ordered the ford racing pack for my 11, comes with tune, 50 state exhaust kn filter and oil filter. Talked with tech who said it is louder than stock but not too loud, tune seems good as well, i will have it next tuesday and report what i think. I think if you want a realustic performance gain with ford tech its the way to go

Steeda intakes are usually CARB aproved. at least they are for the 05-09's. Just make sure to tell your tuner to keep the rear 02's on. As for exaust you can pretty much run what ever you want. The law says that you cant modify it to be over 95db and im not sure where you are at in CA but iv heard some pretty damn loud cars and no one ever really bothers them

Recently I have been hearing accounts of ricers being made to remove their fart cans. So perhaps noise troubles are more a matter of drawing attention to ones self than I had previously thought.

As far as I know, any open element filter will not pass the visual inspection in CA.
