So you don't want to pay but you'll come here and post that you may have gotten ripped off?! I hope you didn't get jerked but if you did you get what you pay for. I can't help, I have a outside gear installer come to the shop so I don't really pay attention to what's stamped on gears but I do recall that FRPP gear did have a tiny little ford logo etched on them. Don't quote me on it though as seen above Motive does make a 4.10 set. It's raining.

OK. There is nothing wrong with getting a good deal, is there? I say not.
If anything I could have scammed that guy. Prior to this thread I hadn't paid him the money, he agreed to send them to me without payment. I just wanted to be sure and satisfied enough before I sent him the money, which has been sent at this point in time.
And yes, I've seen plenty of gears with the Ford logo stamped on them, and others that are from Ford without it engraved. Unfortunately mine don't have it.
Thanks for your help though.

does anyone here have any experience with the Motive 3:90 gears?
Would this be a practical option for a 2010 GT, Manual? Seems like a happy medium for a guy trying to decide between 3:73's and 4:10's.
Im basically a mechanic dunce and have no background when it comes to gears.

I don't like the gears Motive makes to sell under their own brand, I've heard too many horror stories on vehicles that are mostly street application. The gears they make to Ford spec for Ford Racing hold up a lot better. The question you should ask yourself is what's a better gear for your application such as what kind of driving it sees and other current/future mods.
