That doesn't look like the stock Eaton blower on GT500's. Looks like a Mammoth Kenne Bell kit. Guess it was too much even for a forged 5.4l.

If I went to a dyno shop, and during the runs some guy sat in the trunk of my car, I would just stop the runs right there and take my car elsewhere...

Bad AF mixture + High Boost = a bad day for some poor guy. If that shop tuned it wrong i hope they have to pay for the damages.

I'm guessing they needed extra weight to help keep traction given the amount of power the car was making. Every time I've done a dyno I've had to sign a release pretty much relieving the shop of any obligation if the motor lets go during the course of the dyno.

not sure why that would bother you, it was probably just spinning the tires on the rollers. sometimes tires just don't grip the metal rollers well. mine would slip until the tires warmed up after driving it on the dyno a little, and that's just 420whp.

as far as a car dying on the dyno it's easy to blame the shop but who knows if the motor was abused, fuel system set up correctly, etc. etc. without knowing the full story it's hard to know if the shop did something wrong or if the customer brought in a ghetto-rigged car.

Well said, as stated above there are many variables in what could have gone wrong. I know the car personally & it was pushing well over 700RWHP, so that's why I refrained from naming the shop. Many, many things could have played in from a shop error to the owner not knowing when to say "enough is enough"; I just know from the video it was a bad day for all.

Then I would pat down the person for any studded wallets, keychains, or any other sharp objects that could f'up the paint in the rear bumper. lol
