Default Fuel filling issue

Well, it seems as though I have been plagued with the fuel filling TSB issue. Over the past couple of weeks I started experiencing issues when filling up my gas tank. As soon as the gas starts flowing, within seconds, it automatically shuts off?? I have to repeat 8-15 times in order to fill up my gas tank. How annoying! I purchased my car over 4 years ago and never had any issues before.
I read the fuel filling issue in the TSB section, however does anyone know what the cause is?

It's the design of our fuel tanks; almost like 2 saddle tanks. Try the "proven" fixes; turn the fuel pump handle anywhere from 90 to 180 degrees and slow the flow rate. Also, some pumps are more sensitive than others. Try another pump at that station or a different station.

Someone also recently posted about a clogged check valve or SOMETHING in one of their fuel tank lines but in his case he could hardly get ANY fuel into his tank. I'll have to try to find that link later.

Thanks Nuke!
I'll definitely give that a try.

Has it been cold where you are lately? Sometimes the cold makes the auto-shutoff in the nozzle get a little funky and it will shut off immediately like that. I think it's something to do with condensation freezing in the vacuum tube that shuts the dispenser off. Seems to be worst when it first starts to get cold out too.

I only have this problem at certain stations. Very annoying though when it happens

I have to say I have not had this problem. And from what I know, my tank is the "2 saddle bag" design too.

What are the fuel level equalizing methods used in our tanks? Is it some sort of cross-tubing? If so, maybe that gets clogged over the years and the two halves of the tank cannot equalize their levels fast enough.

I can only speak from experience...it happened to me twice in 4 yrs, both time I did what Nuke said above (turning nozzle) and it worked for me.
