2011 mustang GT

Never considered oil capacity a "feature"?? No gas cap sounds interesting until it fails, then what?
Just my thoughts of randomness...
P.S. I'm glad I'm not the only one that notices 11 drivers posting in the wrong subforums (like all of them post their intros in the tech section instead of the Newb section)

Welcome to the board, and yes, the Coyote is a damn nice engine, lots of ponies under the hood to make your pony take off like a jet, or if you are not careful, buck like an untamed horse (i.e. wheel hop, LOL!)
Sorry, I ramble too, so I totally understand where you are coming from.
As a fellow Texan, I wholeheartedly welcome you to the forums and am glad to see another Coyote owner join the ranks!

You like your mustang I understand.
But thing you thought of first and posting about first when thinking about
liking your new car was the gas cap and how much oil it held?
Plus you didn't even really tell us in your first post the point of the thread
or even give a hint at the point of the thread...
Nor did you even really post alot of reasons or details of why you
liked the car so much.
The most interesting things you could point out was the gas cap and
oil container
Really?????????
Wow...now that is full of lols.

OP- Congrats on the new purchase! Hope you are loving the updated interior as much as i am in my 2010!
Not sure what was meant by that. but to correct the terminology it's a cap less fuel filler, as seen here:
I also have it in my 2010 GT. I read somewhere that ford starting rolling out the tech in 08 or 09.
I'm not sure how it could fail however. It has two detents on either side of the passageway for the fuel nozzle to push on, once it does that it unlocks the cap(which is spring loaded) to allow the nozzle to push through and fill the tank. Quite ingenious i think. I have tried pushing the metal flap open with my finger, no dice, you have to have something the same size as a fuel nozzle to push on both detents at the same time, if that makes sense.

I'm just pullin' his chain a little.
But seriously it did remind me of my mother's stories that go nowhere sometimes lol.
She will tell these stories and I will wait for something to happen or something or some sort of point to it and nothing ever happens and it ends up ending with something like:
"and then I went to the store"
LOL.
OP, (thread starter if you don't know what that means)
I was not trying to be an ahole lol.
I was just joking around with you.
Hope you took no offense and if you did my deepest apologies.
It can get like a men's locker room (minus the bad language)
in here sometimes so that is probably the first thing to know
about our great forums.
Glad you like your car man!
And again welcome to the forums!
Whatever you do don't call my mom and tell her what I said here.
Im 34 but she would still kick me in the pants for saying that hahahaa!
