Until mine arrives I've been sucking up every review I can find on the car. I keep reading and hearing the phrase "Best Mustang I ever drove" frequently. For you die hard fans who own a 2011 5.0 where do you think it ranks? I can't wait to hear your responses since I'm a first time owner

I think its a little to early to say where it ranks I think lets see where it is when a new platform comes out. Just My opinion

It has an great build that's for sure.
Where it ranks? Time will tell.

I'm one of those guys though that think the new body style will not rank
very high though as far as looks. (Not that I don't think it looks good)
I think the first gen S197's 2005-2009 capture the retro look much better and
just plain look better.

That is my opinion though but it seems that MANY agree with that statement.

So far though the new 5.0 has been the **** though when it comes
to performance reviews. We will see though as time goes on.

It is definitely the newest mustang I have ever driven. So its got that going for it

I would think the 5.0 has got to be a blast to drive compared to my 4.6. I have not been a big fan of the change in body style though compared to S197. I have a real hard time liking the rear of the vehicle. My veiw is going to have to change soon though as I have a 2012 ordered.

It'll probably be the first Gt since the 80s that actually has "*****" and isn't underpowered like every gt since. And open up a new legion Of stang fans. That's about it.

I concur with the above comments regarding preferring the 05-09 styling. If I could easily drop the 5.0 into my '07 I would.

I know there are a lot of folks that like the '10+ styling better but it seems us older guyz that were around when the Stang first appeared in the '60s are partial to the 05-09.

I agree as well. In my opinion the 05-09 body style does a much better job in capturing the retro look. But again this is ony MY opinion and interpretation on what looks good

I have test driven a 2011 bunches of times. I am about 6 months out from ordering my new one. I had a 2010 GT Premium that I have gotten rid of for family reasons. I much prefer the styling inside and outside of the '10 - '11 compared to the '05 - '09. I'm about to turn 45 and have been a Mustang fan since I can remember. My first one was an '84 GT w/T-tops. I have owned since the '84 GT a '90 LX 5.0, '93 GT, '94 GT, '96 GT, '98 GT Vert, '05 GT and a '10 GT. By far...my '84 GT and my '10 GT are my favorites.

I can't wait to get my new 5.0....... For me the combination of the looks of the new body AND the new 5.0 will put this at the top of MY list for best Mustang I have ever owned...
