I got an email from Chandler at Brenspeed telling me that the 15x8 wheels will not clear the front caliper. What a bummer.

I tried to fit them on there today. If you look at the inside of the 15x3.75" front, it has a small indentation all the way around that helps it to clear the caliper. The 15x8"s don't have that indentation. Sorry for the bad news.

Major bummer...but the wheels I was looking at clearly describe that they DO work and clear front brakes

That's interesting but I'm sure it's wrong. I got another email today, this time from a rep at Race Star Industries. He also said they won't clear the brakes.

Yeah that list of specs is what is advertised for the 15x8 with 15x3.75 combo. They wouldn't fit on my car. Might be able to grind the caliper a bit, but they were rubbing for me.

Well it seems apparent that I have lost the battle, but not the war! I still desire the 15" look, but have come to find that its gonna be tuff...and gonna be $$$. All currently sold 15's on the market have incompatable offsets, so custom backspacing will be required which = $$$.
Again I feel like the kid in the cell phone commercial....REALLY?
IMO the s197 was born for rubber, not rubber bands and I cannot believe this is such a hard get. Can a brother get a set of 15" cragars that will fit this sucker??lol
Oh well...c'est la vi.
Anyone with a similar interest in this setup, plz pm me with any info you may have found to pull this off.
Thanks guys for the info.
