Default Turbo guys, Question?

My buddies has a 2010 GT with hellion turbo set up. Just today it started cutting out when pressing in the clutch between gears when in boost. You hear the blow-off then it tires to die, but if you bump the throttle it will kick back up. I checked the line around the blow-off for leaks, couldn't find any. Any ideas?
Thanks

Pull the BOV and check the diaphram for rips tears or leaks.

Find a vacuum gauge, pull a line and hold vacuum to see how longs it stays.

Check very closely around all connections. The symptoms sound like what a loose air intake acts like. Had that happen several times. Will it idle okay?

The smallest leak or torn gasket will create a big boost leak. Even if he is boosting 100% at WOT, he could still have an issue.

After all that, it could be a tuning issue.

Do the Idle Air control valves on these have a throttle following function?
