SVT emblem question
#41
They put in SVT Easter eggs as a momento but if you went around asking for a SVT GT500, it's not there, they don't "exist". Hence having flat out fender badges would just be silly especially if it's not even a GT500 or 2004 prior Cobras.

SVT puts SVT logos in as mementos the same way Ford puts Ford logos on as mementos. If you build it, you get to label it. To be honest, Shelby had less to do with the making of the car than SVT, but the name Shelby sells far more cars. Regardless, the V6 is neither a Shelby or an SVT.

If I had a Mustang with legitimate SVT badging on it and started seeing bogus "SVT cars", I'd pull my own SVT badges off in protest.
The "Powered by Ford" is the best possible option, unless you have something with deep individual meaning like Fifthwind's.
All very true.
Most of the people who have any idea what SVT means will laugh at least to themselves about it once they know the truth. (Hint: you can't fool these folks once the engine is running.)
The rest of the people on the planet will/would hardly notice. I'll be very polite and just say that the value of any compliments received from people within this segment lies somewhere between meaningless and questionable (at best).

#2 If you put SVT badges or Cobra emblems on your car that isn't an SVT or a Cobra then you are a poser. End of story. No, it doesn't look cool, it's gay to those of us that know it's not a Cobra
#3 Telling someone to "do what you like" and statements that it's cool to be different only go so far, when it comes to pretending you have something you don't, it's not being unique, it's being a wannabe.
