Sorry guys.
I think the 555's are good tires I have them.
But I must disagree about the rain and cold weather.
These freakin things DONT like either one on my car.

You must be careful as can be with them.
I dunno, maybe it's because of my other mods or something.

To me these are pretty much a summer tire and suck for winter.
Although they are better than my BF goods were.

SF Bay Area here. I'm running 255/285 staggered. When it's rainy, I drive like a grandma and try to avoid large patches of water. Not interested in fishtailing and hydroplaning and wrecking my toy.

Summer tires are not going to be as good when they are cold. It does get easier to get the tail loose with the throttle. Maybe quite a lot easier. Under these conditions (cold + rain + max-performance-level summer tires), I would not want to be running a really aggressive tune that wants to open up too much throttle too quickly.

If you've stacked your original tires up at home within range of their little transmitters to the SJB antenna and drive less than 20 miles you may not.

I never get a TPMS warning, going from home to places 5 miles or so away, stop/re-start/drive another short distance several times, and return home. If I go 20+ miles on the first drive, it does go off.

Thanks for the input. So the tpms light will not come on due to the fact that the oem wheels are still too close to my gt?

That appears to be the case, whether you do not install sensors on the new wheels/tires, or do put new sensors and not retrain the system to recognize them. All that has to happen for the system to not trip is for it to find the signals for the sensors that it is currently trained to recognize.

This is completely consistent with the fact that you do not have to retrain the sensors when you rotate the tires (at least up through 2008 model year - this stuff is constantly changing).
