It will read/clear cel codes but won't show IM readiness. You need a scanner for that.

My Brenspeed tunes are emissions friendly. I had my emissions test last week and passed on the first attempt!!! =-)
How do you like the tune???

Won't be a problem, Eddie, as long as the rear O2 sensors are indeed turned on in the tune. You can verify they are on by datalogging the rear O2 sensors (bank1 sensor 2 and bank 2 sensor 2) and see if you get signals. If you don't get any signal, then they are off.

Justin did my tunes and I had to pass emissions as well. If you are using stock cats, you should be fine with the Vortech.

Just remember, the O2's can be active and still not in a readiness state. That's what happened to me. I datalogged and they were getting signal but still were not ready. The scanner will show you when they are in a readiness state after turning them on, drive cycle completed and ok for inspection. It's a very handy tool.

Wouldn't this have to do with having to go through a drive cycle for them to be ready?

Yep, exactly. I ran through several drive cycles. The tuner kept telling me to run the car longer, swearing the O2's were turned on. Well, they f-in never came ready...the scanner told me that. I drove my car around wasting fuel. It's just a pita guessing. If you don't want to spend the money for one you can get the autozone guys to hook one up and check readiness once you've driven the car for a day or two to cycle the inspection maintenance sensors.
