Where/how do you mount your GPS
I am interesting in getting a GPS for my 2010 Gt (i dont have the factory Nav) and would like to know where to best mount it and how. I would really like to hear from those of you who have them. Please post photos if you are able.
Additionally, I was thinking of getting the Garmin Nuvi 1300/1350 model with a 4 inch screen.
Thanks in advance.

I have mounted mine on the left side of the windshield in several past cars. I like it there for all aspects. The negative side to it is if you do not close the windows when you are away from the car, it is within easy reach. I wish I could get the suction cup to stick down by the radio area (not the best line of sight for viewing though) but no luck so far. For power, I have run the cord by the door, under the panel covering the lower dash by the drivers knees, and then under the center console to the plug in the center. I did need an extension for that routing. I have the Nuvi 760's.

I mount mine dead center of the windshield as low as the mount allows with the base almost touching the dash. The RD sits immediatley above it. When I have them set right, they don't impede my vision.
There's a thread on here somewhere on how someone constructed and mounted a piece of plexiglass between the 2 center vents, providing a nice smooth surface for the GPS suction mount.

that photo above is what I had in mind for mine. I was curious though if the reception gets fuzzy at times. Also, does the mount attach itself to the air vents? Where did you get it? My assumption is that I can get the mount and everything else at Best Buy?
