Is the on-board MPG computation more accurate on the 11's than they typically were on the '05-'10s? The later were TYPICALLY off by around 1.5-2.0 MPG to the conservative (high) side so hand calculations were required to get actual fuel economy. Yeah, I know: there are a few 05-10 owners that have more accurate on-boards but those are more the exception than the rule.
I know mine terribly underestimates my MPG. I did the actual calculations and averaged 24.8mpg over my roadtrip to NY, meanwhile the onboard was giving me something like 22.5. Very weird.
We have 4.10s in our Auto 2011 GT and we get 27MPG. We got 26.8MPG on our way down to Cecil County Dragway, and ran mid-11's with bolt-ons and high 10's with a baby shot of nitrous:
which tires and wheel you was using for your way back?
How much HP are you have now? just to satisfy my curiosity.
Sorry to say this but if you are worried about gas mileage with a mustang then maybe its not the right car for you. Or just leave it stock and enjoy it.
Canada uses imperial gallons. They are bigger than US gallons so the MPG is higher.
According to google, an imperial gallon equals roughly 1.2 US gallons. And converting the numbers above, that equals 19city/31fwy roughly. Still a bit optimistic. Maybe they tested the 2011 V6 automatic and used those figures for all estimates?

My on-board is garbage! It says im getting 14.5 mpg, but I did the math myself at the pump and im actually getting 19 mpg (all city). Oh, and I have lead feet lol

If you aren't concerned about gas mileage then you must have somebody else to pay your bills like maybe mommy and daddy. Well when you grow up and have to pay your own way you'll worry about it too especialy since it'll be $5 a gallon by 2012. When it costs $80 to fill the tank everybody will be worried about it.
Thanks to all the others for your info. I'm getting about the same as you are. So the 3.73's won't impact the MPG's too much. When I installed the gears in my 2008 I didn't have it with the stock gears long enough to get a good compairison. I'll probably do the gear change.
