If you could ReDo your s197 from scratch..

I love my car... the only thing I would have done different is went with 20% tint instead of 35%... and put on moleskin beforehand so my **** wouldn't have scratched.
OH WAIT.
and I would have ordered it with a manual... that was the biggest mistake of all.

Same i would of have loved to got it manual, but seeming all the stop and go traffic i go through almost every day, it would have been hell.

If I could redo the S197 from scratch, I'd take a few inches out of the wheelbase and shorten the length by at least 10 inches, and drop the suspension by at least 1 inch. Then I'd sit it on an IRS and top it all off with some interior tweaks.
To redo my S197, I'd opt for the glass roof, no stripes, and pick a different color. Oh! And maybe wait a little longer before installing a bigger S/C. That six grand would've served me well toward lighter drivetrain parts.

Now that is a sick engine! over 1000 HP and ft-lbf torque, that is big block power from a small block.
Usually, small blocks will go high revving to make high HP, but the sacrifice is they make much less torque (i.e. they might make 600 HP for example, but the torque is not equal to the HP. Our Coyotes are an example; they make 412 advertised HP a bot less than 400 ft-lbf torque. The stock '11 GT500 makes 550 HP at the crank and probably just at 500 ft-lbf. Big blocks on the other hand tend to make more torque than HP, which is what wins races).

I wouldn't change a thing about my current car, except maybe start out with the powertrain this car's got.
