Default Thoughts on Boomtubes after 20k miles

I have had the Mac Boomtubes on my 05 GT for approximately 20k. After first putting them on, I thought they sounded great and weren't to loud from inside the car.

However, after having them for some time, I find their sound quality to have degraded. At lower RPM's they sound more like a diesel truck than a Muscle car. Upper RPM's they still sound ok. From inside the car they seem to have gotten much louder and are almost too loud when going up an incline or cruising on the highway at 70mph.

Even my wife, who loved them at first, feels the same way. For a DD, they seem to be a bit much, and I'm thiking of putting the stock mufflers back on.

I know some people can not have their Mustangs loud enough, but has anyone esled experienced the same with the Boomtubes? My exhaust is stock except for them.

Well, Boomtubes don't really have anything inside to degrade over time..perhaps your cat's are starting to degrade, or it's just your ears adapting over time?
