Default Thinking about buying a new 2011 Mustang Gt

Right now i have a 2005 Infiniti G35 and im thinking about selling/trading in for a 2011 Mustang GT. Good idea? and also would you think going with the premium is worth the extra money? The leather seats arent that big of a deal to me. and do you think the brembo brakes/ 3.73 LIMITED SLIP REAR AXLE is worth it?

Good idea.

Skip the Premium if you don't really care for the leather. I personally think the base sound system is passable.

Yes, get Brembo and 3.73.

+1 on the brembo , as you get suspension too, if you want max acceleration then yes on the 3.73

I drove both the standard and premium , liked the leather seats /wheel better.

I'm hoping to order a gt premium vert with brembo as soon as I get home. Now that I've had heated leather seats in a car, there's no other way to go

I also came from a G35... I found that I liked the interior on the Mustang. Sure its a little rougher and louder, but I didn't buy a muscle car to be quiet... I have never looked back moving from my G35 to the Mustang... I would recommend the brembo, and depending what kind of acceleration you want either the 3.55 or 3.73. But the leather seats and all the bells and whistles inside is what makes me the happiest with this car. Most likely the reason why I never miss my G35

this.

working out of a ford dealer for a couple years, and when my car was in a bay for six months while I was working on it (great shop manager, let me use the bay of his tech that was on leave), I'd use one of their loaners every now and then if I needed wheels for the weekend.

I became more and more impressed with the interior of the cars. The last one I had was a Focus SES, and I almost didn't want to give it back.

I have a 2001 330i. Well, my wife has it right now.

If you're comin from a G35, I think you'll find it hard to go to a base mustang. The base interior feels very cheap compared to the premium interior... The premium interior has a near-luxury quality about it that the base won't touch. Get the premium at least. Gear install for 3.73s, you can get aftermarket for about 300-400 bucks including installation.

The gears aren't a big deal to swap out aftermarket, so if it has them then great, if not, its not a major concern IMHO. The Brembos are nice to have if its worth the money to you, especially if it comes with upgraded suspension. Although I will say I have a base 2010 and it out-handles the 07-09s I had COLD, so not sure how much better the upgrade is myself. As for the premium, thats your call. I quit buying leathered/loaded out cars a few years ago. Leather is hot as hell in the summer, and cold as hell in the winter. I just want a/c, cloth seats, a radio, power windows/locks and cruise, and I'm good...
