28x12x15 rear tires. Yes, they fit. Here's how...

you get the idea from Tiger & Brenspeed?
If I remember correctly, they removed some weird bracketry from the fenderwell that serves no purpose anyone is aware of.
car looks damn mean from behind though. I've always loves seeing wide *** tires on a muscle car.

I got the idea on my own, and I found Tiger while doing google searches to see if anyone else was running this size tire. I spoke to him on another forum, and he told me that Brenspeed removed his bump-stop bracket, but when I looked at the thread he linked me to, they had removed the bracket when he put 17x11.5" bullitts on his car. That's when I decided to see for myself if it was necessary to remove the bump stop bracket to fit the 28x12" tires, and it ultimately wasn't. The bracket does serve a purpose, it is located directly above the rubber bump stop on the rear axle and keeps the rear axle from traveling far enough to cause binding or contact with the frame. Unless you hit pot holes or speed bumps at high speeds, it really isn't necessary for the stop to be there. Thanks for the compliment!

I have a set of ET street radials that I run at the track. I haven't tried these, but I can pretty much guarantee they wouldn't hook at all. The rubber is too hard. I'm making about 500 at the rear wheels.

Bumpstop relocation kit
For you guys with SN97's that have removed that big bumpstop bracket, there's a kit available that will allow you to relocate the bumpstop so it will mate with the frame rail.
Here's a thread from another forum: http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...-brackets.html
Bumpstop relocation kit:
Pic with jack under driver's side trying to compress as much as possible with FRPP springs.
Be sure to install the bumpstop on the plate with the large hole directly under it so air
can escape during compression.
Pic from rear with actual load height using FRPP springs. I later cut the first nub off the bumpstop since my car is lowered.
