Hiding radio antenna
So, while tearing down my mustang tonight...
https://mustangforums.com/forum/2005...r-mustang.html
I got the idea, let's shave the radio antenna. I had the wild idea to relocate it to the passenger side A pillar. I know some are running an amplified antenna, but I thought I'd try this first to see how it does. My little black shorty antenna fits in the trim piece, with two holes drilled to keep it in place.
I'm a little tired, so I'll wait till tomorrow to snake the antenna up to the pillar, and try to figure out how to get it out of the fender. (I've already removed the base, just have to make it the rest of the way, and hopefully there is enough slack in the cord to get there.

Interesting idea. You are probably going to have to remove the passenger fender to get the wire loose to snake up under that pillar.
definately do a write-up though. would be a worthwhile mod to do if it works out alright. I hate how the antenna looks on my car

Curious about that myself. I'd assume a rubber grommet with a sealed side? Thought about deleting it myself. I hooked up a TV/FM reciever recently and made an adapter, so that's now out.
Reception will take a pretty big hit, but if your in the city anyhow and the stations are local, not a biggie.

I ran the signal test diagnostic and it wavered between 52 and 53. Never tested it stock, though.
Signal is coming through clean and clear. Looks like this is a winner!
Now, on to installing a new head unit.
