Default Anyone running 19x11 wheels in rear? Any problems?

Have a 2008 mustang. I'm looking into a 19x9.5 19x11 set. Just want to know if we can run a set like this without problem. Besides the 19x11 in the rear but the 19x9.5 would also be something different. If you guys have any advice or pics on this please let me know. Thanks

Whether it's a 16" or 22" wheel, you're overall tire OD should be kept roughly the same as OE and tire widths are limited by the wheel width.

The front won't be a problem and is not much different than current setups at 9 - 9.5" width. although I'm not sure if 255's would fit up front on that wheel or if you have to go wider, which I wouldn't recommend due to tramlining. The rear could be interesting, especially if you're lowered. Have you checked tire availability in 19" that'll fit an 11" wheel and still come close to the OE OD?

They already have tires. It's 255 up front and 295 on back. I'm not lowered right now.

I don't know how they would fit/handle, but you would want like a 315/35R19 tire on those rears. You would probably be going just a bit (1-3 mph depending on speed) slow but if you have a tuner you can recalibrate it.

Also, probably should have 265/45R19 on the front, but once again, I don't know how that would fit/handle.

If you want to run an 11" wide wheel in the rear that has the correct offset to fit flush with the fender, you may have to remove the rear bump-stop brackets in the wheel wells.

This link may help you. He's running 18x11s, so you should have a bit more clearance than he does. http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showt...374#post802374
