Default 5.0 - Why cant you have Brembo Kit with GT/CS?

When ordering the California Special, it says the brembo kit is not available with rapid spec 402A. Why?

I love the front end and interior features of the CS, but i really dont want those wheels. I want the 19" wheels that come with the brembo kit as well as the rest of the brembo kit.

The car wont be tracked or anything, its just for show really. What is it about the brembo kit that wont work with the CS?

Probably nothing. It doesn't have to make sense.

are there any suspension differences with the brembo kit? or is it simply the brembo calipers, bigger rotors, and different wheels?

same reason why you cant get a backup camera on a GT/CS or a GT500

ford needs to come up with a better way of accessorizing their cars!!

Why not get the Brembo package on the standard car and then later add the CS parts?

It all comes down to what parts you want to add and how far you go to make the changes. Both setups require major changes. CS has seats, dash, and door panels plus body parts. Brembo has suspension/handling plus brakes.

I personally went with the CS because I don't need the extra braking or handling on mine and if I decide to change things later, I can pick and choose what I want in those departments.

It is all your informed choice.

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! I must have been unconscious for like ten years, I never heard that the Brembo package was prohibited on the CS!

Makes no sense to me. With CS parts, the suspension dims should allow for brembo stuff. The CS wheels are 19", right?

yeah they're 19" but i think its the offset that doesnt allow them to fit. What i want is a CS car with the brembo suspension. Its not like the CS has different suspension, so there is no overlap and no reason I shouldnt be able to get both. Stupid ford.

I'm just gonna probably do the CS car, get aftermarket wheels (cause i hate the CS wheels), go with Steeda Sport springs and str.t shocks/struts and call it a day. I'll just sacrifice a little bit of braking power, but then again the regular brakes arent too shabby.

40k for the optioned CS I´d want.... Time to knock over a bank. Bail-out money is just as good as the unleaded stuff..

You can still select differing accessory wheels that should work. I think it´s more to do with just their setup for this optioning.
