Well, for a one of a kind car... some memorabilia , and a $400,000 tax write off... it's not a bad deal.
These special built auction cars are typically sold to benefit a charity of some sort or another, in this case the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Don't think for a moment this guy paid $450K for a Mustang. He paid the same $45K that someone buying any other BOSS302LS would have, then donated $400K to charity, which is going to help his Tax situation greatly.

there are very few cars that appreciate in value at a point that would make you money over just putting the same money in a bank. So you might as well drive them.
Its only $40k, I see a lot of people driving them around. Maybe not the LS packages but the regular ones sure. I still see super snakes around every once in awhile

It's probably a better investment than putting it in the bank (at least the way the economy is going, but let's not go there)
