Weird Noise second after shutdown - Video Included
#11
Dropped it off at the dealer last night. I made sure to shut it off while I was there with a tech listening for the noise so they knew what I was talking about. The guy was baffled, so I have a feeling it will be there for a while.
Whatever the noise is it really seems to be coming from the headers or inside the exhaust system for lack of a better term. Almost like a valve is either sticking open or the spring is not keeping it sealed completely letting pressure escape after shutdown. Thats my semi-uneducated guess anyways.
Ill post when I find something out.

Finally got a call back from the dealer this morning on this. The service writer who called me said they have ordered a new throttle body for my Mustang.
He couldnt tell me why they think this was the cause of the noise. Hopefully when I pick it up next Monday Ill talk to the tech who worked on the car and get his reasoning, assuming that the new TB actually fixes the noise. Ill post his answer next week.
