ok..wtf..rear-view mirror release tool?
It has some kind of spring clip that goes over the base mount at the bottom of the rear-view mounting to hold it onto the base. Not the normal Ford spring double-ended spring clip, both spring ends come over the base at the bottom.
Bent the shiznat out of a couple of screwdrivers, and the retention spring is over the base with just the window to use as a fulcrum...not a good idea. Any better means to do this other than buying the $150 tool for this?
