Consider that not as many of the laundry list of TSB's that apply to the '05-06s apply to the 07 on up so you may want to check to be sure that the '05 you're eyeballin' isn't plagued with some of the nasty ones such as the water leak. Otherwise, it's a matter of preference. Some like the 05-09 body style better than the '10 & '11. The older GT's engines can be pushed farther than the new V6. Whatever floats your boat.

I'd take the 11 v6 over the 05 GT.

The interior alone is good enough for me over the 05 by FAR, and let's be real, the 11 v6 isn't THAT far behind a 05 GT in performance.

And tbh, if we're judging by sound, a 1990 5.0 with mufflers would beat out any day Mustang. lol

I would take a brand new v6 over an 05 GT. If it were an 07 or newer that's a different story. You're talking about a brand new car with tons of amenities vs a 6 year old car with little resale value and many known issues.

If you are able to afford a brand new 2011 V6 then you should, realistically, be able to find a left-over NEW 2010 GT or a VERY low-miles 2009 GT. That would be the way I would go!

Ya... 10gt or 11 v6, 10gt should be in mid 20's if not less...

I drove both when I was in the same position and I chose the older GT. I love the sound of a v8 and there is no way to replicate that on any v6. I also love the low end torque for stop and go traffic

also, anyone curious where onegoal is on this one? I can't believe he hasn't trolled this thread yet!

well it depends on what you want outta the car, the 05gt will sound better and be faster off the line cuz of more tq. the 11 v6 has a brand new interior and better fuel economy.
but going by your main concern, handling, Id say the 11 v6, more rigid chassis and suspension from the 10gt
