If your leg is killing you in traffic, I would hazard a guess that you keep the clutch pedal depressed while stopped. If so, put it in neutral and let your leg have a moment's rest when stopped. Also, better for the car...

You could also buy some piece of crap auto beater, or a new 11k Korean heap with an auto, and commute that. Leave the stang at home.
