Cool...looks like you can save about 2-grand over the FMS prices. It's nice the headers come with the engine. You'll definitely have to upgrade the 7.5" rear end if you get the 5.0 to fit in the engine bay. I blew apart my 7.5" in my '83 GT with far less hp and torque than the Coyote puts down. Cheers!

Nice project....I seen that episode with old ford kit car. It's not that difficult to install the wire harness....make sure you get a harness from a reputable organization otherwise it's a nightmare chasing electrical problems.

Concerning the electrically powered steering, I think that can be omitted altogether.

And if the ECU must have some sort of feedback from an electrical power steering, I think it just might be possible to purchase an aftermarket tune to have them shut down the tables that required input from that.

Keisler Engineering can supply you a Shelby Cobra 6-speed with shifter position for your Ranger truck with bench or bucket seats, for $2495. Add $169 for a driveshaft coupler kit to shorten your d/s, or we can provide a complete new d/s for $369.

The Shelby GT500 (I assume you mean GT500 since the Cobra name was dropped in '04, but the GT500 does retain the cobra emblems on it) uses the TR6060.

Other than the TR6060, do you guys sell a T56 Magnum with 2.97:1 1st gear kit to fit the S197? Including crossmember and modified shortened driveshaft?

JPC is preparing such a kit themselves, to be specifically installed in 2011 GT 5.0L Coyotes, but the have not released it yet (at least I haven't seen it out yet).

I just thought about this, i could probably go to a junk yard and find a wrecked 2011 muustang with the coyote and tranny wiring harness and the steering d/s and rear end. prolly could save a lot of money there.

If the motor is good they are getting around $10K for the car! Yes it would be an easy swap but, is it worth the expense?

It will take a lot more time before Coyotes can be found in salvage yards
The engine is still that new. And as mentioned above, if you can actually find one in a salvage yard, it will not be cheap.
