and could store them on a library on a hard drive of a car stereo?

pioneer avic series used to do this. Check out a Z1/Z2/Z3 unit

the pioneer avic-z110bt does it for sure.

the z110 does not do this, it does not have the hard drive. you can load MP3s onto SD cards and use them though with the z110

yeah the z110bt which i bought then upgraded the software to the z120bt doesn't have it built in, so you go with a SD card or usb drive, or ipod/iphone. I purchased a ipod classic specifically for this.

Yeah it does not have it either.
I guess there really is no difference though playing from a SD card though right?

I use an 8gb thumb drive to play music in mustang. An internal hard drive would be kinda nice though..

My wifes Cad oh lack can record onto a CD, That's kind on nice to have, You here a song you like and just push record. You don't have to have a CD, It records onto a hard drive and if you want it on a CD you can put it on a CD from the hard drive. It shows a list of songs on the hard drive. Sweet.
