Default How Do I Know if PATS (Passive Anti Theft System) is Disabled?

I just got a custom tune loaded to disable my PATS system. I'm doing a cluster swap as soon as the new cluster comes in (thread below that explains all of that):

My question is..... How do I know PATS is disabled? I loaded the tune and don't notice anything different than it was before.

From what I have read ... if you disable the PATS via a tune .. the Theft light will blink ... continuously ... but the car will still start.

That's the thing.... It doesn't blink continuously. I'm wondering if they really put that feature into my tune, which was the ONLY reason I ordered it.

Maybe it will only blink if you start it with the WRONG Key .... or Wrong CLuster .. or Wrong PCM ...

I'm kind of guessing here, so take it for what it's worth.

I think the PATS system is designed so that only a coded key will start the car. So have a key cut to fit the ignition, but don't program it. If the key starts the car, I would say that PATS is disabled.
