Install: Baer Eradispeed+2 rotors and Hawk Performance Ceramics
Just ordered these parts from CJPonyParts and I'm waiting for them to arrive (pads are on backorder). Here is the rotor kit:
http://www.time4brakes.com/images/ba...d_plus2-lg.jpg 14" two piece rotors. The kit uses the stock caliper and comes with a bracket to make them work with the larger rotor. To dress up the calipers a bit more than just painting them, I'm going to do what I did to the calipers on my old truck. Basically I used a wire wheel attachment on a grinder to get rid of the texture. Then I used high heat primer and paint. The result is a smooth, glossy caliper. This should look nicer with the rotors. I plan on going with a gloss black caliper with a dark gray caliper bracket on the Mustang. Pic of the calipers I did on the truck: http://derekjhartman.com/brakeupgrade2.jpg I will follow with the install pics once I receive the parts. |
Nice,post some pics when done!

I installed the Hawk ceramics. They made a big difference....a much stronger bite and supposedly they don't heat fade as quick as the stock brakes did. I don't remember the price but, I know the pads alone were around $100 bucks and worth it. It's a nice cheap mode you will notice every day.

Are you sure those brakes will fit your wheels? I read you needed to run 1" spacers with those.
