Mine does grind between 1-2 and 2-3, worse when cold it seems. Its also had a "clunk" sound thats random in all gears.
Just like many others, my dealer told me to wait until properly broken in...at the time i had about 1500 miles. Now im at 7k and ill be taking it in again soon.

Im going to try a fluid change after reading this.

i have no idea if this is your case or not, but drive train clunks are part of the game with the S197 platform. my 05 did it like crazy, the 10 not so bad. part of the clunk issue is the two-piece drive shaft the cars use.

I'm more conserned about the grinding than the clunk sound. switching to a better tranny fluid can only help anyway... i guess we will just see how things go.

regarding the fuel tank issue:
Have you tried the work around we used to do with the 2005's? Twist the nozzle around from its normal 6 o'clock position and try it at the 1 o'clock position.
The new nozzles at many stations were part of the problem. I guess they don't have smog issues in Michigan...

After 10000 miles on my 2011 gt ive never had tranny problems except for one day when it was 10 degrees outside and after 5-10 minutes of driving it ran perfect

A clunk sound is normal from time to time but a transmission should NEVER grind! Fluid will not fix that, it needs to be looked at asap! Just a heads up

Yeah.. I never tried that but I never had problems filling it up before. It was a recent issue and just got worse over time.... When I tried to fill it up before I took it to the dealer it wouldn't even let me put .1 gallons of fuel in at a time, there was definitely something wrong with it more than the technique of fill up!

Thanks for the advice!

Default Fix for manual transmission

New to this forum.

The fix is out there for hard shift in cold weather. TSB 11-3-18. They replace the transmission for a different viscosity. Good luck

I had the fuel issue on my 06 all the time (that really $*%@&$ me off) but I have had zero fueling issues on my 10 unless you count the cost of gas.
