Of course, the head rest is not adjustable; you cannot even raise or lower them.

For me, maybe these are not an issue since I am not a tall guy, but for someone who is tall, the headrests not being adjustable might be a discomfort.

I assume you can only scoot them forward and backwards and have absolutely no access to the back seat. Thus rear seat deletes from the factory Bosses.
Keep in mind these are not racing seats, just sport seats. They do not have an opening in the bottom seat cushion for a sub belt required for racing.

They have fore/aft, backrest tilt, and the drivers seat can be raised and lowered. There is no lumbar adjustment. The Boss seats do not have power assist although the ones being sold by Ford Racing have a wiring harness. Maybe for airbags and sensor? The Boss seats do have airbags and sensors. I've sat in the seats and I'm 6'2" and weigh 200 lbs. They fit me fine and if anything the headrests are very high. They will look too high for shorter drivers. All in all they are very nice but nothing to get too excited about. They remind me of the Recaro sport seats I had in a 1980 Porsche 911 SC Weissach I owned a couple of decades ago.

Also the seats have the latch on the back for rear passengers to get out. They will not impede ingress/egress for rear passengers any more than stock Mustang seats.

Thanks for the reply; they are damn sweet looking seats and if I can get my hands on a set, I sure would love to have them in my car!

I was afraid that all Boss Recaro seats would be just like the Laguna Seca sub-trim's seats (made more for racing, not street seats).

Other than the embroidery the Recaro's are the same in the Boss and LS. I can't imagine the Ford Racing seats are different but they might be.

BTW I believe the seat rails are the same in all the S197 cars so I think they will bolt right in. Not sure about airbags and sensors though (if they have them).

Here's a photo of the head Mustang engineer sitting in the Recaro. He's pretty short.

Thanks for the pics!! Atleast now it confirms that airbags are placed in the seats; hopefully they will be compatible with the wiring harnesses for the 05-09's.

Nice seats, but Good lord, those are tall seats! Not all mustang drivers are jolly green giants.
