Default 08 Aftermarket Stereo Install

I've been following many tutorials listed on the forums about how to install aftermarket head unit's into our Mustangs. I purchased the AVH-P4200DVD. The problem I'm running in to is that they changed a few things on the 08 model. For instance, you have to purchase an antenna adapter. Something else I found out is that the factory harness does not match up 100% with the Metra 70-5521. The ignition wire isn't on the factory harness. So my question is, does anyone know of an easily accessible ignition wire that I can tap into for the head unit?

The change started with the 07 model. The proper PAC harness is expensive, but it works like a charm as stated above and is worth every penny....

Running a line for the delayed accessory feed would be the easiest method if you wish to use the existing metra harness. F6 from the SJB.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm trying to avoid getting the PAC harness since it's so expensive and I don't have the backseat entertainment and other things. charliebrown266 that link you posted is dead but I'm going to poke around on their site and see if I can find the article. wayne613 thanks for the service manual link. I don't know how to read wiring diagrams very well so I'm going to have to educate myself later today.

Ah I figured it out. Thanks for that link charliebrown266. I'm at work so it may have something to do with our firewall. I couldn't type the URL in my browser but I could get to the page by searching for it. This is exactly what I need! Thanks everyone for you're help. I'll post up pics when I'm finished.

Wes cherry- can you tell me where found the link to work from charlie?

I am having the same issue and I am trying to figure out what to do......Can you tell me what you did to get it to install without buying the proper PAc harness? I don;t have any of the rear entertainment or bells and whistles....

thanks!!
