Car won't start - PLEASE help :'(
The worst case of murphy's law ever! I'm supposed to be trading in my 2008 V6 in tomorrow for a sweet 2006 GT. I was returning a lot of parts back to stock myself in my garage tonight. I had a PA horn hooked up to my battery, and i unhooked the battery to remove the power wires for the horn. I reconnect the battery, and my alarm starts going off. The key fob wasn't disabling the alarm, so i quickly disconnected the horn to shut the damn thing up. The lights were still flashing for a while but then everything stopped. I try to start the car. Nothing. I'm guessing that my alarm set some sort of killswitch to the ignition. I tried reprogramming my keys according to the manual, but no luck :(
If anybody has seen or heard of this problem, I would greatly appreciate any feedback. My last hope is to go into Ford tomorrow and see if they can do anything before i have to trade my car in. |
More info. Is it cranking? Domelight on and then dims a little or to nothing when you turn the key? Clicking noises? Or just plain dead?
