hood scoop or no hood scoop
well i purchased a painted roush hoodscoop, bran Fing new and when i mocked it up to my car I dont know if i am sold on it... I love the hood scoop look, but not for my car, i think..

This is how I feel....I like the look of a hood scoop but I really think it should be functional. Seems like it would decrease your mpg some (if you care about it) by the wind not being able to pass through it but rather bounce off of it.
Another thing to consider is, approximately 98% (if not all) of the OEM hoods are contaminated. Read about the hood corrosion in the TSB. Instead of putting $$ in a hood scoop, why not put it towards something like a new hood with a built in functional hood scoop? If you are one of the unfortunates who have discovered the TSB, I'm sure you realize you are most likely out of warranty thus Ford will not cover it. For the amount of $$ that you would spend fixing it, you could have bought a whole new hood.

I'm a hood scoop fan myself, although I tend to like the ones built into the hood itself rather than added later or put through a hole in the hood. I have the stock ford one and personally I love the way it looks, I like the low profile. But down the road I think I might replace the hood for something cleaner.
