Rubber Door Grip

It seems like every time somebody shuts my door, they do it by pushing on the window. That just doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

I was wondering how you all think it would look if I put a piece of rubber on the edge of a door as a grip, to emphasize NOT shutting it by the window

Thanks

PS: On a random note, is it possible to put a 2010 trunk lock emblem on my 2007 Mustang? I really like the more rounded style, rather than the notched design of the current one

Just tell them not to close it by the window?.. and yell at them of course.

Or just tell them?

And pushing on the glass should not be a problem unless they are hulk smashing it closed.

Or you could just let them close it by the window lol. I close my own by the window so I don't get finger prints on a clean finish or put scratches in a dirty finish.

The trunk badge from a 2010 will not be a direct fit because of the curvature of the 2010's trunk lid, but I'm sure anything is possible. You could probably hit it with a dremel very carefully to give it the right curvature to fit the 05-09 trunk. Would be hard though.

I agree... I'd much rather the smudge on the glass than a scratch in the paint!

It just bothers me how it flexes the window

And I don't always remember to tell people not to close it by the door, because I go all week with just myself in the car

I use the door handle to close the door. Everyone else seems to like just planting their hands on the side of the door...fingerprints everywhere on my passenger side :(

I Sparta kick my door closed.

I think if you close the door by pushing on the window, the window mechanism is living on borrowed time. There is no frame around the window, and it is not that difficult to knock the window out of its track.

My sentiments EXACTLY

And I KNOW repairing or replacing that window mechanism is NOT cheap. Hell, I actually heard that it's cheaper to buy a whole new door
