Hey, I'm a new member and have been lurking for a few days before joining today.

I've got a completely stock 2008 Mustang GT coupe that I bought new a few years ago. Mods will be coming soon.

After having this beautiful beat of mine for a few months, I noticed that there is a scuff on the A/C vent (the left one if you are sitting on the passenger's side, I blame the wife, lol). It's not on the chrome outer ring, but on the actual louver (?) vent part.

Any suggestions on how to get this thing out without messing up the plastic?

Also, I noticed that 1 or two of the vents rattle at lower RPMs, I've gotten used to it, but I'd like for it to go away, if there's an easy fix for it.

I believe they just pull out. Grasp and give a firm tug.

Open the vent, reach in with your fingers and pull straight back - there may be a release tab you can feel (although I never felt one on mine). Nice even pull, don't try to just jerk it out.

I'll see if I can post a pic of the scuff on the vent and see what you guys think...

You can buy a new vent for around $50, just stop by your local dealership's part dept and order one.
