Default Paint flaw, would you guys get this fixed? Opinions welcome - 2011 GT

On the inside of my trunk near the edge I have a paint bubble that looks to have been popped. Is this an easy repair? Is it even worth getting fixed?

Unless you show the car with the trunk open, I would just use some touch up paint. If it really bothers you....get it fixed. Of course, you could see if the dealer would do it for you under warranty.

I don't see how the dealer wouldn't cover this under warranty, it is a paint flaw.

Is this an easy job, any body shop guys care to chime in? Can this be fixed without removing the trunk lid? I am super picky about alignment, and I almost know it won't be put back on properly.

Wow you have a really good eye! I would have never noticed it, but I bought my car used to its best not to look overly close.

I hate having a good eye haha. I notice every little flaw my car has, and it really weighs on me. Not a good attribute haha. To make myself feel better I went to the dealership today and looked at every Mustang on the lot and found 1 or multiple flaws on each ie: front bumper road rash, paint chips, paint bubbles, etc. I did not find one perfect Mustang on the lot.

The only question on warranty coverage is time.....I believe there is a time limit on paint defects such as that, which is different than things like the previous years hood corrision thing. Not 100% on that but check with the dealer....

It may appear insignificant but, rust could start there and in a few years it could start to rot. I would at the least touch it up with the Ford touch up paint. Good catch.

Are you kidding me? Its a small paint bubble on the INSIDE of the car, and THIS weighs down on you??

I wish I thought like you. Having a new car is like a double edged sword for me, I love it at times, and hate it when I find a flaw/defect.

I've only had the car for a month and a half so I think I may just add some touch up paint to the area. What should I apply it with?

I'm scared to take my car in for service. It always end up with more things wrong with it than before I took it in.

I'd just use one of those really small artist painter's brushes and dab on some touch up paint. Definitely not enough to warrant going to the dealer in my opinion and at the same time it's smart to keep the metal surfaces protected so there isn't any early rusting or anything like that.
