Default engine bay cleanup question

ok guys doing my first spring cleanup of the engine bay ive gone as far as taking out the battery and removing the the airbox to get to some hard to reach places but still cant get it 100% clean my question is is it alright to unplug random wires one at a time to get to the hard to reach places as long as i plug them back in as i go would there be any ill effects to the electrical if i do?

Assuming you don't try and start it while things are unplugged you should be fine. Otherwise it will throw codes.

Well assuming battery is already out of the car i would say itll be ok. Just make sure you match them back up correctly

^This... you pull the battery out, nothing else matters.

not sure if his mods warrant a tune(r) <sct, ect> but say he has a brenspeed (for conversational sake) tune...will this battery disconnect reset anything, or will his tune hold steady?

It won't affect the tune. The tune info is stored in the car's computer memory which is non-volatile memory. The info is there regardless whether power is applied or removed.

You can disconnect things, sure, just make sure you know where everything needs to go back in place. Also don't get any liquids or anything into the plugs, of course.

finished cleaning up the engine bay today dunno how I did it but somehow forgot to reconnect one of the wires and started up the car sure enough through a code but then I plugged in the wire, unplugged the battery for an hour then reconnected it. I started it took a few seconds longer to start up than usual, no engine light now thank god and it seems to be fine now.
