2007 Overheating driving me crazy!!!

i had the same problem. Wound up being a seven dollar part: the coolant overflow tank cap was not holding pressure. For that cheap, I would replace it and see if it solves your problem.

yeah that was one of the first things I did, bought it at the auto parts store though and doesnt click into place like the original cap. Was thinking about getting on from ford and see if that helps?

Holy crap! Just called the stealership and they want $18 dollars for the replacement cap! What kind of cap did you get for 7 and where did you get it...lol.

When someone said they payed $7 and I paid $5 for the one I got $18 seems a little pricey.

Well no air in the lines and it wasn't the radiator cap. What's next?

You could pull the rad. Maybe it is somehow clogged? I had a 79 F150 that I could never get to stop overheating. I finally sold it and bout my mustang. Drove me nuts!

The engine overheats:

• Thermostat
• Coolant pump
• Internal engine coolant leak
• Radiator
• Cooling fan
• Pressure relief cap or radiator cap

• Internal engine coolant leak (check)
• Radiator (maybe?)
• Cooling fan (new)
