Once a tune is loaded from a handheld, the handheld is locked to that car until you reinstall the stock tune. So even if you COULD get someone's (garbage, lame) canned tune, they wouldn't be able to use the handheld on their car. Also, the only "borrowed" tune that would work is a canned tune. A custom tune is tied to the PCM.

You may want to check the MF classifieds and see if anyone is wanting to sell their used tuner. You can also check your local Craigslist or eBay. You may find a really good deal. Keep in mind the tuner would need to be unlocked in order for you to use it. Then you would have to order a custom tune from a tuning company, which may run $50 or so.

Im also in georgia and also havent managed to buy a tuner. But like others have said you either buy your own or roll without it

You're better off getting just the tuner with custom tunes WITHOUT the CAI for now if you're money strapped. A stand-alone, no-tune-required CAI is good for only about 3-5 RWHP. A stand-alone custom tune is good for 15 or more RWHP. Add the CAI later and revise the tunes for the additional 5-10 RWHP.

I just found out today that a friend of mine here in Georgia is looking to sell his diablo hand held tuner for $150 if anyone's interested. All you have to do is buy the tunes from someone, load them on the tuner, then install them on your car.
