Installed mine yesterday but was raining on and off so couldn't really try anything. Not expecting any improvement but it does look good

With the slotted mounting holes, I dont see it stiffening up anything.
Maybe on a vert, but not a coupe.
Unless you are pulling enough Gs to deflect the spindles...

Edelbrocks triangulated brace for the S197 is a way better deal.
The $49 + S/H price does not dictate buying something for me.
Even if it was free, I would not want one.
Cat poop is free but you wont see any on my floorboards.
From this guys feedback, it seems he sells items that he does
not stock or have on hand.

Has anyone had a problem with their strut bars making noise? I put mine on the other day and it gives the most annoying noises when moving. Pulled it back off and no noise. I've checked everything on the front, but the bar is the only common denominator. Anyone ever run into this? I have the Bullitt suspension complete w/FR500 upper plates. No noises when moving or going over bumps until I installed the brace. I've thought of rubber washers under the mount but that would defeat the use. I tried using the no-move washers with the burrs, and still the same noise. Out of ideas. I've already pulled it off, so that's not an answer. lol Anyone?

I haven't driven my car enough to tell if there were any noises. My first thought would be if it was rubbing the hood.

My thought too. Check the top of the bar for any scratches or marks that may indicate it was rubbing the hood.

That's because you like dog poop, DUH!

They canceled my Carl Edwards Las Vegas win tee so I had to get something to fill the void. Sigh.

Here's a pic, nothing fancy to look at under the hood but I like it. Still have to get my hood struts installed later.

That was the very first thing checked. Plenty of clearance and at the plenum also. Clearance everywhere was more than sufficient. The only thing I think of is possibly a bad weld in the bar. There seems like too much flex in the bar when installed. It's a SMR bar designed specifically for the V6 fit. Looks identical to the FRPP dual bar, except the name. Nothing is visible but has a tinny sound on one end and not the other. I think I'll have it checked this week.
