Even for Mustangers, do the rise of Gas Prices phase you?

I actually bought my mustang as a fuel efficient vehicle. I average 26 mpg and the 31 mpg on the highway is right on. I traded a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7L Hemi that I was averaging 14 mpg and getting 16-17 mpg highway. I am loving it. Thumbs up Ford!

Uh what octane are you using and why?
I use 87 cos the car is designed for it from Ford.
However I recently upgraded to a FRPP and Bama Tune from AM so I just put in 91 Octane and will most likely never go back to 87 Gotta be willing to pay if you want to play.

People like to harp on the cost of gas, at 50 cents per gallon more than it may have been before in some areas if an extra $6 on a 12 gallon tank each week is killing your budget, you were in bad shape before gas went up.
the people people trading in SUVs they owe on big time for a Prius, do you really think that new car payment is going to be offset at the pump for the average driver? I don't. It's been my experience that some people will be broke no matter the economy because they simply can't live within their means. Price of gas doesn't phase me. Literally i spend an extra $25 or so each month and I burn through a tank a week or more if i'm lead footing it. i would squander that much money on snacks for the kids.
don't get me wrong, there was a time back in the day when i had $100 extra each month and thought i was loaded. An extra $24 at the pump would have been a big deal. i can tell you at that point i was living well beyond my means.
