For the poster that talked about easing out off the line with the C6ZO6.
There are other reasons, I don't street race the viper. It has no traction control, no stabilizer controls. Vipers are involved in a disproportionate number of single vehicle accidents. Even with the massive rear tires, it's too easy to lose the rear with all the torque. I am on my second viper and have lost the rear 2 or 3 times....very scary and maybe I got lucky to be able to regain control. Also the stock gearing is 3.07. Gearing is for the top end on these cars. Those that are into racing often change the tires and go to 3:73 gears.

My boss's z06 with longtubes, CAI and an HP Tuner tune traps 11.80's @ 120-122mph on drag radials.
He had a Viper next to him at the track last season and while the Viper pulled a faster ET, my boss got him in trap speed.

For the poster that talked about easing out off the line with the C6ZO6. That's respect but also, at least where I live, the police will throw you in jail if they even think you were street racing. That is why I save it for the track. No grudge match is worth jail or hurting a bystander.
There are plenty of drag strips and race tracks where you can race safely and with no fear of getting tickets or hurting others. If you injure anyone street racing, you go to jail. If you kill someone, you go for a long time.
