Default problem with new shaker 500 system

I have a brand new 2011 GT with the shaker 500.
I have noticed when I turn the volume down to just 1 or 2 bars I can hear static and a slight sound. It's not the sound coming from whatever media is playing though. So I got out in the car in the garage with the engine off and listened very closely to the sound and determined it was the radio. Even if the system was set on CD or jukebox or sat. radio. The sound was always whatever was playing on over the air radio. This is really puzzling and frustrating to me. Does anyone else have this problem?
Is this something I need to take back to the dealer for? Will they even try to troubleshoot the problem?

Maybe one of your speakers is blown? I'm not really sure, but if no one has the answer here there is a audio section too.

I had that problem when I first put in my new system. I had the gain turned up too much and it was causing white noise. I turned it down and fixed the problem but I'm not sure you can do that with the factory system so I don't think this is going to help.

Dealer. Yesterday.

Your hearing just static or the over the air radio and static at that low level? If the later, definitely a head-unit issue. They should just swap it out.

Likely either the head-unit, or cheese-ola factory amps for the door subs are at fault if it´s just static. In any case, this is covered for free.

Can you tell if it´s just emanating from the subs, the 4 speakers, or all of them? You can then save them from tearing into anything they don´t need to.
Just sub(s) = factory amps
Just (1 or all)4 speakers = head-unit
All = head-unit

There's a thread about this issue...I have the same problem, but on my Shaker 1000.

Trash, the Faker systems are freeken door rattling trash. The sooner you replace the speakers & amps, the sooner you'll actually have an audio system you enjoy.

Wow, thanks a lot. I didn't realize this was such a widespread problem. I can't believe ford hasn't stepped up to try to resolve this issue. I think it's terrible that this problem has been going on since the early 2010 models and yet it still exists in the 2011s. I'm willing to bet the 2012s will still have this problem.
This is just Unacceptable.
