2010 GT Guys - What woudl you pay for a M90 used?
i am wondering what you guys woudl pay for a use M90 forma 2010 car. As far as i know, this kit will not fit anythign other than the 10 cars. you woudl need to get your own tune. i amthinking of jsut returnign the car to stock and selling off parts since the dealers onyl want to offer normal GT pricing. Iust sort of wondering if its worth paying a shop to pull the thing off for me and put the stock parts back on. The kit was $4400 new and has about 10k on it now.
Any idea how i woudl go about getting the factory GT tune for a 10 back on the ECM?

that's not how roush does it. you send them the ecm and they flash for you. you dont get a tuner with the kit. i have a tuner with teh stock rous tune and the vmp tune, but no normal ford tune for a NA GT. i assume i can pull the ECM and take it to a ford delaer and have them flash it.

Try this:
Go to your local speed shop and ask them how much they'd give you for the blower.
Once/if you agree on a dollar amount, have them take it out for you and put your stock parts back on in the process (after you resolve your ECM issue).
Just a thought...

Ford reflashed my 06 back in 2008 and it was only 100 bucks. They did it in the car though so Im not sure if that puts a wrinkle in your plans.
As for what I'd offer if I had the coin (and right now I dont) I'd be happy giving you 2k for it. If it got as high as 2500 I would say no. My rationale is that something is almost certainly going to be missed when the mechanics pull off a partthat I'd have to buy extra, Im going to have to pay extra to roush to transfer it, I'd have no warranty, etc.. etc... etc...
Its why I recently sold an SCT2 for 20 bucks (paid 350 for it). The guy not only was going to have to pay 150 to SCT to reflash it because I couldnt return to stock (car had 4.10's) but then I found out from a sponsor on the MF's that their transfer to a new car was 150 bucks too. I made sure the guy knew and he was cool with it.

Another thought, you might consider going to another dealership or insist on an extra 2000 or so. They are going to mark the heck up out of that car and sell it as supercharged. My 06 is on sale for 4k over blue book and I wasnt pimpin' no SC on it!! I'd guess they are going to go 4-6 over blue on yours once they have their hands on it.
If you are a member of a credit union, you might see if they have a relationship with autotrek or the like. Usually that helps you get top dollar for your trade and lowest cost on the new vehicle. You dont even negotiate with the dealership.

teh blower was like $4300, i think its worth more than $2K, i beleive there is a thread arodn here somewhere that a kid bought one for $2500 kniwing it was missing a bracket or something. anyway, feeling things out really. I was sort of hoping $3k woudl be the magic number, that is a $1300 savings.

You might get lucky and get $3000..A bunch of us just bought ours new for $3500-$4000 (05-09). Honestly, I would not spend more then $2000 on a used SC, but thats just me...With the bad economy and not a whole lot of cash out there, $3000 might be tough to get. I would try putting it on Ebay with a reserve price..Good luck, and I hope you get your price..

I understand the pricing has never been as good as the 05-09's, but with the price of gas as high as it is and the overall bad economy, they will come down in the future...I waited three years for the price to come down, as I was not willing to spend 5-6 grand on an SC..The fact that the 05-09's sold for so cheap reinforces my opinon..You can always start out asking $3000 and come down in price..
