Creaking brake pedal
Recently my brake pedal has begun to creak when pressed or depressed. It doesn't do it all the time, but it's seeming like a majority of the time it's now happening. Anyone have any idea what might be causing this, and if so, what a fix for it would be? It's getting to be quite annoying.

Be sure it is the brake pedal.....my seat was doing it after they replaced the track....one bolt into the floor was not tight. Drove me crazy for a week.
If it is the brake pedal, use a bit of graphite to lube the pivot points. |
got the same problem, hope this is not the prelude to something serious. any info would be helpful.

My '05 does the same thing, seems to be a common problem...or just an unlucky handful of us.

Add me in, mine hasn't been doing it lately though. I did contemplate about using some grease or some sort of lubricant, just never got around to it. Would like to hear from someone that actually investigated and fixed the issue completely.

Changing out the brake fluid fixed this on my car. It's been creak free for a year now.

To update, 5 years later the brake fluid change apparently fixed the problem. The creaking has never returned.

Mine seems to do it more in the summer months.
