Default GT500 Brake Kit with 18x9 Bullitts

I'm not as satisfied with my Eradispeed +2 rotors as I thought I'd be so I was thinking about switching to the GT500 Brake kit which went down in price a lot compared to when I got my Eradispeeds. My concern is, however, whether I'll be able to use it with the wheels I currently have because if I have to spend money on an extra set of wheels and tires then I'll be going over my budget and I might as well stick to what I have. Different websites say different things-- some say all it needs is a set of 18" wheels or larger, AM on the other hand states that this brake kit won't work unless they are GT4 or GT500 18's and won't work with the bullitts they have (I purchased mines from AFS wheels though and since they no longer carry them I don't have any numbers such as offset etc but I'm thinking they might be different from AM's). http://www.fordracingpartsdirect.com/ states that the kit will also work with the stock fan blade wheels. It's almost like everywhere you go the information varies. On another forum I found a similar post where one of the members stated that with 18 inch wheels it's not the rim size, but the offset that is important because the caliper will rub on the spokes rather than on the inner part of the rim itself. If that is the case I could probably just get away with 1/8" or 3/16" spacers and call it a day, but is it? In other words I'm looking for some clarification on the fitment or need to hear from someone who is running this kit with 18" bullitts. Thanks

I took some pics of what's going on just now with 14" Eradispeeds on. I got about 1/2" left between the spoke and the stock caliper and about 1/8" between the caliper and the inner part of the rim.

90% sure that is not enough clearance for the Brembo caliper

There are very few 18" wheels that work with gt500 brembo brakes.. Bullits will not work...Believe me many gt500 owners who don't want 19 or 20 inch wheels still search.

Wow those oem calipers are really close to your wheel. I just received my GT500KR take-off brakes over the weekend and held the Brembo's in my hand. Those suckers are huge. I'm pretty sure they won't fit with your bullitt wheels. I have 18" SVE wheels and there's plenty of space for the Brembo's.

just for the record...18inch bullits will not clear due to the wheel spokes...without some sort of spacers etc it will not work. so either you can get a bigger wheel or choose from one of the few 18 inch wheels that clear the brembo brakes..good luck...let us know what ya end up doing

How big of a spacer do you think I'd need for this? I brought up those thin ones because I don't want the "bolt-on" style which comes with its own set of lug nuts and at the same time I know with 1/4 ones I might need longer wheel studs.

A little update on the research. I called the place I bought the wheels from and within 20 secs had an answer about the offset (therefore, I'm not sure how accurate it is) and mine is 40mm vs AM Bullitts which is 34 so that's a 1/4 inch difference almost. IF that's accurate it means I have more clearance between the caliper and the spokes. I was able to find Brembo template for their kit and took some measurements of what I have and I think I measured everything correctly but something throws me off. My C measurement for example shows that my stock caliper sticks out 2mm more than the Brembo one-- is that even possible? By looking at the A part however I can tell that it won't work still because of spoke interference which I still can't believe (( If I measured everything correctly it sounds like a new set of rims or a spacer at least 3/4" thick is a must and I hate spacers.... Anyone got pics of both calipers next to each other for comparison? The part that is facing the back of the vehicle is the one that interests me the most
