Sounds like a great deal, but probably not me, I'd end up spending 4x that on gas getting there and back (SF Bay Area).

I wish we had events like that up here in the north!! I have topped mine out at just over 140MPH which my GPS showed 137.5MPH as my top speed. Car felt nice and solid but lots of hood movement.

There was a guy who drove down from Saskatchewan in his green Camero to participate.
But I'm with you on having events more local to where people are, here in the SF Bay Area we have this wonderful former naval air styation that has some nice long runways available... which you've probably seen on mythbusters, that would be a great venue for such an event.

Thanks for posting the pics. Looks like a lot of hurry up and wait. Something I'd probably do just one time but I'm sure it's a blast for those 30 second runs.
